You know that 30 before 30 list I’ve been chatting about? Well, here it is. Now that it’s officially published, I better get my act together and start crossing items off the long list! To be totally honest, I’m quite intimidated. Here goes nothing.
1.) Find the most perfect little black dress. And purchase it.
2.) Donate my hair to locks of love. Completed on 12/6/11 – proof here
3.) Perfect one killer cocktail.
4.) Compete in the decathlon.
5.) Break my athletic club’s decathlon push-up record.
6.) Learn how to make my parent’s delicious eggs benedict.
7.) Give cold hard cash to a charity of my choice.
8.) Take a cooking class. Completed on 12/17/11 – proof here
9.) Play one round of golf with my Dad and brother. I hear they are quite good.
10.) Create and order our wedding album.
11.) Visit Kyle’s grandparent’s historic bar in Crawfordsville, Oregon.
12.) Get a spray tan (must succumb to this – I live in Oregon!). Completed on 12/1/11
13.) Take my niece and nephew on a special “Auntie Outing”.
14.) Pamper myself – get a facial and a massage in the SAME day. Imagine that.
15.) Surprise Kyle with something.
16.) Visit New York for the first time.
17.) Begin the search for our next home.
18.) Buy a luxurious set of sheets. No more sets from Target.
19.) Legitimately learn PhotoShop.
20.) Take a hard look at our finances/retirement accounts.
21.) Take a sewing class.
22.) Officially launch my design services on Restored Style.
23.) Try bikram yoga.
24.) Think (NOT try!) about adding a wee one to our very content family of two.
25.) Read the stack of books on my bed side table. All of them.
26.) Pay it forward to a stranger.
27.) Buy the camera lens I’ve been coveting.
28.) Save ALL my photos to my external hard drive. No more memory mishaps.
29.) Open a cherished bottle of wine from the wine collection my Grandfather gifted me many years ago.
30.) Have a birthday party to celebrate turning 30!
Come Nov. 2nd, I hope to have crossed *most* of these items off my list. I’ll be sure to update you along the way as I’m certain there will be a few blunders here and there. But isn’t that what makes life grand? The unexpected challenges and triumphs?
Cheers to the dirty 30!

I designed my wedding photo album with My Publisher. I loved the simple, clean layout options, and the software was easy to use. They have upgraded it since, so it could be even better. They also have discounts available about every week, so that was an additional incentive!

Hi! I’ve been meaning to leave a comment on your adorable blog. I came across it when I was looking at kitchen ideas for our new home. You actually inspired me to start my own blog recently. I never ever thought I would! You have a great sense of style and I enjoy reading your posts… Also, I just turned 30 in Sept. and I thought it was going to be scary. It was no big deal;) Have fun checking off your list!

Thank you so much for your sweet note, Megan! I’m popping over to your blog right this minute – how fun that you jumped into the blogging world:). And it’s good to know 30 isn’t really as scary as it seems!

What a great list, best of luck to you. I’m excited to see you accomplish so many of those (obviously you getting a massage means nothing me me, other than jealousy). Godspeed!

Three months into it and I love 30! Your list is amazing! So well rounded. So I have to admit, I would love to hear more about the spray tan (fellow Portlander) experience. I agree w/ Katie S. in that MyPublisher has great photo book options. They also will have amazing deals! Excited to hear about the house hunt and your design business. Congrats to you as you embrace the final year of your 20s!

Hi Rochelle! It’s good to hear 30 is a-okay:). As for the spray tan, you MUST try out the Organic Bronze Bar. I had a great experience, and althought it is kinda spendy, I would absolutely go back:). It’s like a facial for your skin, and looked natural and fresh – just what this pale Oregonian needed.

What a great list! I’m so impressed about the decathlon bullet!
And, I’ve never thought about trying a spray tan, but now I’m super curious!

Kir! I LOVE your list! It is so attainable and realistic, you can do all of those things, I am very confident! You have inspired me to start thinking of things I want to do before 30. Thank you! I can also help you with #17.
I would love to get together with you sometime soon and talk about your blog-makes me want to start one geared towards real estate and Portland. XO

Great list!! I hit about 15/30 on mine. Maybe I should make a goal to finish it before 31! Item 14: sounds heavenly. Spa Willamina has great packages and specials.
best of luck!

Great list! Good luck! I’m turning 32 in August and I am hoping to cross off the 4-5 things that I have left on my 30 Before 30 list. One thing I have learned over the past 4 years of working on mine is that I often underestimate the time, money and sometimes luck that it takes to accomplish some of my goals
Oh well, as long as I get them done, I’m not so worried about the timing anymore! Life didn’t end at 30 like I thought it would thank goodness!

I just discovered your blog thanks to Young House Love’s little crash and I absolutely adore it! You have such great style! And I love, love LOVE this post! I’m totally stealing this idea. There’s so many things I’ve been meaning to do but never get around to them. Such great motivation!

I love the idea of a thirty before 30 list. I have a few years to go til then, which gives me plenty of time to come up with a wonderful list such as yours. I came over from YHL, totally love your blog already. I think we have a lot on common, I’ll be back to check in frequently. You mentioned Nov. 2…is that your bday? If so, mine too!!! More in common that I thought!
