Late post today. Been a long and trying week. Didn’t put an ounce of makeup on today. And did I mention I need a hug? Anyway, enough complaining from me…here’s the beginning of our dining room design board. I still need art. I need more color. It needs some work but at least you’ll get an idea of where I’m going with the room…
I’m also having a hard time deciding on table legs. The table in the design board has legs from IKEA and they only costs $60.00 total. Crazy, right? Would you have guess Ikea? I’m sorta liking the look. Your two cents?

I would throw in a colored rug (maybe yellow to pull in the colors from your kitchen. Or, get some wood chairs and paint them a bright color so they pop when you look at the dining room.

I love the ikea legs. I think they are a great option. This moodboard reminded me of a photo I adore and remembered seeing on a recent post of yours. It is the 4th photo down on your Knock off wood post earlier this month. Black/charcoal walls, farmhouse table, white slipcovered chairs. I adore that photo. I agree with Samantha about the color in the rug, and a coordinating print in curtains possibly. What about making the lantern the pop of color if you want to keep the seating neutral? Or some lumbar pillows for the two chairs at the ends of the table or the 4 on the sides to bring in some color/print.

The legs from Ikea are great and would do the trick very reasonably until you get a better inspiration or find something that clicks.

LOVE the Ikea legs – actually love the whole board! I wonder whether 2 kinds of slipcovered chairs might be too much? I like the idea of a rug with some color…plus once you add some artwork and some flowers it will be a very cheerful room!

The legs don’t look IKEA at all! Love the look, but also think you should maybe change up the side chairs so just the arm chairs are covered.
