TGIDIYFriday: Eucalyptus Bath Satchets

Happy first Friday of the month, friends! It’s once again time for a little TGIDIYFriday action. I’m over at hi, friend today giving a step-by-step tutorial on how to make bath satchets. You see, I’m a sucker for a hot bath after a long day and adding a little eucalyptus into my nightly routine seemed like a grand idea. The plant is  known for its sinus clearing powers and it smells fresh and lovely too.

Per usual, this month’s DIY is practical and easy. You know how we roll. Again, for instructions on creating bath satchets, click here.

Summer Seltzer Water

Last week, Kyle and I were on the hunt for a refreshing, low-calorie beverage that we could make at home. I’m happy to report we found something that’s not only delicious, but it’s alcohol-friendly too! All you need are a few ingredients, and the beauty of this drink is you that you create it to your taste buds liking – add/subtract ingredients as you see fit. There’s no true measurements, we just threw mint, cut strawberries, cut cucumbers and squeezed a number of lemons into seltzer water and sat back and enjoyed our light drink.

Again, here’s the ingredient list…

Ingredients:

Seltzer Water

Fresh strawberries

Mint

Cucumber

Lemon

And here’s the result of our little concoction…

summer seltzer water

And as I mentioned above, Kyle quickly found out that this summer seltzer water is even better with a little gin in the mix…just pour a few shots in your drink, and sip away the summer.

I’d be remiss if I also didn’t point out how pretty this drink is. How perfect would it be in a pretty glass container at a summer BBQ?I love the vibrant colors-it screams summer!

Simple Ways To Spice Up An Everyday BBQ

Last Friday,  I made a little return visit to KATU’s AMNW morning show and chatted through a few simple tips for throwing a backyard BBQ. As we all know, parties can be quiet elaborate these days, but I tried to keep my tips super easy and turn-key.

Once again, I’m hecka relieved I didn’t pass out or do anything totally silly (except for say the word “exactly” like a million times) on LIVE TV. Whew!

Also, you can find the downloadable BBQ invite, and strawberry lemonade/s’more labels mentioned in the segment here. And, if you are looking to order personalized napkins, coasters, or cupcake holders like the ones featured, email Heather Lawes at Paper Dolls at [email protected].

See you tomorrow, friends!

TGIDIYFriday: Stenciled Pillowcases

It’s that time again – hooray for another TGIDIYFriday craft! Today you can find me over at hi,friend chatting about stenciled pillowcases – an easy project that makes a great gift, especially since wedding/bridal shower season is upon us.

Without further ado, pop on over to hi, friend for supply information and full DIY instructions for today’s featured project.

As for next week, I’ll be spilling the beans about New York City. Still can’t get over that amazing place. That city is alive.

Cheers to the weekend!
