I SPY! Minted.com

Morning! Are you guys as excited to see Friday as I am?

I was just thinking, have we chatted about Minted.com yet? I don’t think so. And that’s a shame, because not only do they have darling printed cards, but they have pretty nifty home prints as well. One of my favorite things about this website is the prints come in A LOT of different sizes. Often times I see a print I love, but it’s too small or too large for the space. Not with Minted – sizes range from 5 x 7 to 44 x 60. Score. And, many prints have different color options. Even better!

Here are a few of my favorite Minted prints lately…

Last but not least, these prints are super reasonably-priced. You can score a print and actually afford to have it framed. Imagine that.

Hooray for the weekend!

I SPY! Pretty Pegs

Hallelujah for Friday! It’s been one long and very wet week here in Portland, and I’m super ready for some relaxing days with Kyle. And word on the street is that the sun is coming out to visit on Saturday. Bring it.

Have you guys heard of Pretty Pegs? Simply put, replace your IKEA legs with a set of customized Pretty Pegs and add some color and style to your furniture!

These lovely pegs screw into IKEA beds and sofas and give you an opportunity to truly personalize your IKEA piece. Look how different the above couches look with new legs. Such a refreshing fix!¬†Remember, it’s the details that make the design and that’s where Pretty Pegs come in – they transform any ordinary piece of furniture into your piece of furniture.

You’ll find a multitude of different leg options and colors on the site – it’s legit. I’m a personal fan of the pink spindle leg, and I’m not even a pink gal. I love the little pop of color it brings to the above couch.

Enough of me rambling – what pretty peg would you choose?

Happy weekend, friends!

I SPY! Schoolhouse Electric Supply Co.

By now, you’ve seen the gigantic map Kyle gifted me this Christmas. Well, I am happy to report the map is just the beginning of all the goodies Schoolhouse Electric has in store for us. Owner Brian Faherty and his team have turned a little lighting company into a breathtaking lifestyle brand. Not only can you order customizable, handmade lights for your home, but Schoolhouse Electric is now creating its own furniture, lamps, bedding, accessories and such. Heck, they’ve even created a good looking extension cord. My kind of company.

Here are a few of my personal favorite pieces…

Portlanders – you must visit Schoolhouse Electric’s beautiful showroom in NW Portland. The building has been lovingly restored, and it’s so very Portland. For all you out-of-towners – you are in luck. Everything seen above lives online, so these goodies are just a few clicks away from being yours.

Keep a watchful eye on Schoolhouse Electric. I have a feeling the best is yet to come.

I SPY! Dorothy Jeanne

I have a special place in my heart for buying local, handmade goods. I love supporting artists of all sorts who are feverishly going after their passions. There’s nothing better in my book.

With that said,¬†Dorothy Jeanne is an online shop where you’ll find vintage, home and paper goods curated and created by Amanda Knee, a graphic designer in Portland, Oregon. She has a great eye for pretty things. Just take a look at her remodeled kitchen, and you’ll agree:). Here are a few of her goodies you can purchase online from her sweet shop.

And for you local Portlanders, check out this adorable print. Cheers to 503!

So darn fabulous.

And, last but not least, Amanda’s hosting a giveaway on her blog this week, in honor of her first blogoversary. Want to win this lovely yellow pillow?

I love all your creations Amanda – can’t wait to see what else you dream up in 2012!
