TGIDIYFriday: Lavender Linen Spray

Good news. Our monthly TGIDIYFriday crafts are back in action. This year, the gals at hi, friend design and I vow to bring you practical and consumable goodies. Stuff you can actually use and easily make. Sound like fun? We thought so. We’re kicking of 2013 with lavender linen spray. It smells delightful and is painfully easy to make. Not to mention, we have FREE, downloadable linen spray labels to share as well. We’re taking linen spray to the next level with pretty labels…yesssss.

Today, you can find me over at hi, friend design  giving you the step-by-step lavender linen spray tutorial. Like I said above, it’s just a few ingredients and the hardest part is cutting out the labels. For reals. Our kind of craft!

30 + TGIDIYFriday: Jute Wine Bags

Welp, today is the day. I am 30! Instead of listing off all the things than scare me about the big 3-0, today I’m going to focus on being thankful for all the things 30 years have given me.

I am thankful for an amazing family that have always let me be me, a darling and crazy supportive husband, friends that are like sisters to me, my education, a job that provides the means for food, shelter, transportation and such, Restored Style, my health, my happinesss, and ohhhhh so many more things.

Also, Meg over at hi,friend gave me a wonderful birthday present and took over TGIDIYFriday today! And boy did she whip up an amazing DIY craft. To check out all the DIY instructions for this wine jute bag, click here.

Pretty fabuluos right?! And who doesn’t need a cute wine bag for gifting? Thanks for the perfect DIY, Meg! You can bet we’ll be back next month with some fab holiday treats.

Sorry for the short post today, but I have a party to prepare for:). Cheers to the weekend, friends!

TGIDIYFriday: Stenciled Spice Jars

It’s Fall and for whatever reason, I want to get in the kitchen and cook and cook some more. I don’t know what it is about this season, but it screams comfort food, hot drinks, and baked goods. To kick off the kitchen fun, we’ve created a cuuuuute DIY that involves darling weck canning jars and glass etching cream.
For full instructions on this month’s TGIDIYFriday craft, click here. We’ll take you through our morning of glass etching and show you the lovely spice jars we created that now comfortably rest in the kitchen.

TGIDIYFriday: Gold Garland

TGIDIYFriday  took a little summer break,  but I’m happy to report our monthly DIY feature over at hi, friend design is back! Our September DIY comes on the heels of hi, friend’s new website launch. Believe me, the wait was worth it. The pretty wedding invitations, the new blog, and the beautifully designed website will make you swoon.

Now onto our DIY! Remember last week when I showed you my gold party mood board? Well I decided to get my act together and start crafting. I kicked off the birthday crafts with the below gold garland. It was crazy easy and can I tell you how awesome removable craft tape is? So awesome. For the full DIY instructions and additional photos, click here.

I have many more garland strings to make, but it’s a start! You can bet your bum there will be lots more 30th birthday party DIY’s in my future. Next up? Sewing gold napkins. Yippeee!

P.S. hi, friend is offering 10% off all orders in celebration of their new site. Just type in code MOOVIN&GROOVIN and you’re good to go.
