Finished: Basement Staircase

This post is a long time in the making. At last, the basement staircase is finished. Who knew 4 steps could take so long to paint? I guess it wasn’t the actual painting that was time consuming, it was the DRYING. Steps are super tricky as you actually walk on them, so I didn’t want to take any chances and was extra careful and generous when it came to letting them fully dry.

With a project like this, pictures are the star of the show, as this little DIY is simply a matter of measuring, painting and stenciling. Last I left off, I was just gearing up to stencil…

And then remember when I showed you the staircase wall last week? Here’s the current view from the stairs…

The numbers aren’t totally perfect, but you can only see their imperfections if you look closely. I promise I’ll compile all these photos for a massive post, but for now, I’m just glad it’s done!

Another project crossed off the list – such a good feeling. Have a great week!

Your stairs look great! Love the grey and white and the numbers!
I did a painted runner on the stairs in my garage recently and am so glad I did – so much nicer to come home to!

Love it. Wish I had a staircase so I could do the same thing!
