Good day to you!

How was everyone’s weekend? Did anyone see the sun? If so, can you transfer some Vitamin D to us Portlanders, stat?! We are in desperate need of some sunshine. It’s really quite depressing. In the month of March, we only had one day without rain. Yikes. And as I’m typing this, more rain is falling. I tried to convince Kyle to go on a quick weekend getaway to Arizona, but work and life in general got in the way of that plan. So, sun gods listen up…you are going to have some very angry Oregonians if something doesn’t change. Soon, please!

With all of that said, I’m going stir crazy and seem to be constantly rearranging items around the house, which is the topic of this post. I’ve been saving all my pennies to get this poster Kyle gave me for Christmas framed, and I just picked it up from the framing gallery this past weekend.

work hard and be nice to people

I wasn’t exactly sure where I would hang it, but after I walked around the house a few times (which takes all but 20 seconds) I decided it would go in the nook. I already had 4 framed black and white photos on the wall, and even though I loved them, I decided it was time to change things up a bit. So here’s the before photo…

And then I changed out the table and the chairs, which you guys saw last week…

And just for good measure, here’s a close-up of the mini-tablescape….

I almost forgot what the print that Kyle gave me looked like…but I am happy as a clam with the post-framing print and it’s new home in our house.

And that’s what I’ve been doing to keep myself busy since I’ve been stuck indoors for nearly an entire month. What are your favorite rainy day activities? Please share, as I have a feeling this rain isn’t going anywhere anytime soon…
