My husband totally outdid me this year for Christmas. No ands, ifs, or buts about it. Looks what’s about to be hanging in our home.
It’s a colossal topographic wall map from Schoolhouse Electric and I’m in love. Kyle said he saw it and a holiday surprise was born. It hid in his closet for weeks and made its grand appearance on Christmas morning. How did I get so lucky? When we get enough man power over here to hang this puppy, it will go right above our couch in the living room like so….
Those pictures have always been too small on that wall anyway, and I can’t think of a more perfect excuse to find them a new home. And speaking of Schoolhouse Electric, if you haven’t had a chance, you should check them out here. They are a local Portland company doing BIG things. You will fall in love with their stuff – it’s a guarantee.
More holiday photos to come this week! And, if we get our act together, I’m hoping I can show you our new piece up on the wall soon too…

Hi There! We own the same map, I was so excited to see you had framed yours in something very similar to what we are on the hunt for, can I ask where you got the frame and how much it was? We stopped by Michael’s this evening and found out the minimum, with a 60% off coupon to frame it would be $375!!! YIKES! Any direction you can provide would be so awesome and so very appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Hi Amy! So awesome – I loooove that map! We actually bought the map WITH the frame – we knew getting it framed would be crazy expensive so my husband bit the bullet and bought the map that was already framed and ready to go! I will say that Michael’s offers some great framing deals and $375 actually sounds like a good price for a piece this large. Spendy, I know. Good luck!!!
