Fab Find! Bedding at Ross

This weekend, while meandering around the mall, I stopped in at Ross and fell in love with a few items in the bedding section, particularly the sheets. The prices and patterns certainly can’t be beat and I snapped a few iPhone pics so I could share these goodies with you!

The prices ranged from $17.99 – $29.99 for King sheets sets. Yes, sets, not just one sham. Such a steal! I quickly tried to find a good reason to buy one of these sets, but I’m trying really hard to not buy things I don’t need. So my hope is that one of you is on the lookout for cute new sheets. If so, these sets are calling your name…

Ross also had a number of wonderful full bedding sets too. I’m usually not a fan of the whole “bed in a bag” concept, as I love to mix and match fabrics and colors, but they had some really classy options for again, great prices.

Happy Monday:)!

Office Turned Guest Bedroom

The last time I showed you my office, it looked just like that – an office. And a messy one at that! Since I don’t work out of the house anymore, the office slowly morphed into my dumping ground for fabric, crafts, bills, wrapping paper, and everything else in between. It was heaven to me, but Kyle called it my “tornado zone” and I admit, it was a messy room. Proof is in the pic!

In an effort to keep our second bedroom a livable room and space, we’ve slowly been converting it from an office into a bedroom. So today I’m going to show you where we are at. One important thing to note – we’ve been converting the space using stuff we already have. Meaning, I haven’t bought anything new for this room, except for these lovely pillows that I blogged about last week (!!!).

Guest-bedroom pillows

They are from be still homewares and I love them! They have been my one and only purchase for our soon-to-be official second bedroom, which currently looks like this (note to self – smooth out the comforter before taking pictures):

It’s slowly coming together. I still need to:

  • Select fabric and sew curtains
  • Purchase colored sheets (blue? green?)
  • Add a few more pillows
  • Position creme colored jute rug (already own)
  • Accessorize (the fun part!)

After it’s complete, I’ll be sure to post much more comprehensive photos. As for what we’ve already used in the space, I snagged the bed frame and blue chest of drawers off Craigslist years ago. The white end table was a piece I stumbled upon in my Aunt’s basement. All of the pieces received a mini-makeover before finding their way to our second bedroom. They both deserve a post of their own, so stay-tuned to hear about their face-lifts!

Again, we still have a lot of work to do to make the space feel cohesive and cozy, but it’s a start.

Keeping it Real – Master Bedroom

Happy Friday friends! I officially locked myself out tonight, and found myself wandering through the streets of Portland plotting my next move. I think I’m ready for Friday, are you?

I’ve been working on some heart day crafts to share with you guys, so I’m signing off for the week with a keeping it real post. Have I ever showed you our “master” bedroom? It’s really not in the master category (no bathroom or walk-in closets), but it gets the job done. It’s in a state of transition right now, but it’s important to show you the messy stuff too, right? It’s not staged or camera-ready, but it’s getting there. We tried out the new sheets this weekend, and I love them. I absolutely need more color though, so I’m on the hunt this weekend for some fabulous pillows…I will keep you posted on what we find!

I apologize for the not so great photos…but again, I wanted to give you guys a sneak peek of our bedroom in progress.

Cheers to the weekend. YES!!!
