I promise I will stop talking about my 30th birthday…after a few more posts:). Saturday was the official partaaay and everything went off without hitch. The rain held off, the food was divine, their were cupcakes galore, and the company stole the show. The lovely Lisa Teso came by early to shoot a number of awesome photos of all the party details, so I’ll have professional images to share with you soon. For now, here are a few Instagram photos (@restoredstyle) from Saturday at Yakuza Lounge in Portland, Ore.
Tomorrow we’ll chat through a few house updates. Cheers to a happy week!
I’m back from beautiful Seattle and I finally had a moment to upload my photos from our Portland Blogger Summer Social last week. It was a lovely evening, and I’m so grateful I had an opportunity to meet so many wonderful and creative women!
Again, the event was at a fabulous boutique in Portland called Seek the Unique. This store has everything, including a massive dining table that Jenn and I could not wait to decorate! It’s even prettier in person, and when paired with an eclectic group of chairs, it’s a piece that you can’t get out of your mind. The goal for this event was to eat, drink and chat. No silly games, just quality time spent with inspiring women. What better venue for this than an antique 20 foot dining table?
We wanted to keep things simple and costs down, so Jenn handmade the table runners and napkins and I created the menus, place cards and flower arrangements. We ran with bright colors and let the table be the star of the show…
And in true Kirsten fashion, once the event began I forgot to take photos. I get so distracted once guests arrive – such a bad habit of mine! I did snap a few more photos of the food and guests, but not nearly enough to do this event justice.
Now, let’s chat about the most important part of the evening. The ladies! Here’s a quick list of the wonderful bloggers that partied the night away with us…
I’m positive each one of these blogs has a few fun projects to share, so stop on by and say hello.
Cheers to a great week, friends!
Jenn and I have been hard at work piecing together tomorrow’s blogger summer social event. If you’ve signed up, we can’t wait to see you! If it’s been on your TO Do list and you just haven’t gotten around to RSVPing, do so today. We’re in the midst of creating final menus and name cards, and we don’t want to miss anyone.
What’s in store for this event? Think one huuuuuge farmhouse table, mismatched wooden chairs, hand-sewn table runners and napkins, fresh flowers, personalized menus, pacific northwest fare, and wine. And chocolate too. Oh yes, and good company…the best part of any dinner party.
You bet we’ll have photos and stories to tell after our little shin-dig…stay-tuned!
It’s the first Friday of the month, and that means another episode of TGIDIYFriday is here! Today you can find me over at hi, friend sharing all the goods from my BBQ Bash this past weekend. hi, friend and I have put our heads together to create a free, downloadable summer BBQ bash kit – just print, create and party ’til the sun goes down.
We’ve included three pieces in our summer BBQ party kit - an invitation, strawberry lemonade labels, and s’more labels as well. I gave these BBQ goods a test run last weekend (see photos of my backyard party here), and it was so fun to add a few DIY projects into the mix.
Hop on over to hi, friend to download the lovely BBQ items and don’t forget to check out my step-by-step tutorials while you are there.
Ready, set, create! And start making your guest list – nothing beats a backyard BBQ in the sunshine:).
Have a happy weekend, friends!
